Private gourmet dinners and parties in a private villa with high class design, heated pool, garden and river views
We offer private dinners cooked by professional international gourmet chef Tlholo Nyatlo of The Fourth Meal. Our dinners are cooked to perfection in the house kitchen and served by the pool by candle light.
We also organise small private parties and professional events at the villa with DJ and live music.
The interior design of the villa is contemporary and stylish and designed by the owner Clare Mellor, daughter of the renowned British cutlery and tableware designer David Mellor. The villa is situated in a quiet suburb of Vila Nova de Gaia, just 10 mins from Porto centre.
Meet your chef
Tlholo Nyatlo is an international gourmet chef who studied at the Prue Leith Cooking Academy (SA and London) and later also worked for the renowned chef School. He took on various roles in the industry, including head pastry chef for top hotels in the United Kingdom before working as executive chef at the School of Tourism & Hospitality at the University of Johannesburg. In 2019 Tlholo moved to Porto, Portugal and recently started his private chef business, The Fourth Meal.
Casa dos Cubos Christmas Dinners
Our Christmas dinners are €65 per person for 10 to 18 people max. This includes:
Arrival drink (sparking wine),
3 course meal as follows (vegetarian option also available)
Starter~ Charcuterie Board
Main ~ Roasted Chicken Supreme,
Dessert ~Sticky Toffee Pudding
After dinner drink ~ Mulled wine.
2 glasses of red or white per person and water are also included.
Your guests are also welcome to swim in the heated swimming pool after dinner.
Casa dos cubos dinners and events
Private dinners are from 10 to 18 people and cost from €65 per person depending on the menu and the drinks that are included. Dinners for smaller groups are possible but please ask for a quote.
Private parties for up to 25 people can also be arranged by Casa dos Cubos events.
The villa and location
The villa is set over 3 floors and free parking is available on the street outside. The dinners are usually in the basement and garden next to the pool. The pool is heated in the winter months. There is also a billiard table. The villa is located in Olivera do Douro with views of the river from the higher levels. It is just 10 minutes from the centre of Porto and 5 mins from the highway to Lisbon. Ubers are €6-7 to the centre of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
